Legal counsel for founders, funds, fintech companies, and investment platforms.

Moorinvest Counsel provides practical legal and regulatory support for clients building, raising, launching, investing, and operating across startup, fintech, and private investment markets.

Services

Legal support structured around the matter.

Not every legal matter should be handled the same way. Some matters require ongoing hourly advisory support. Others are better suited to a fixed-fee arrangement once the scope, deliverables, and timeline are clearly defined. Moorinvest Counsel works with clients on an hourly basis, through fixed fees for defined projects, and through selected limited-scope reviews for targeted legal readiness questions.

Engagement Structures

Ways to work together.

Engagements are structured based on the nature of the work, the level of uncertainty, and whether the scope can be clearly defined at the outset.

Hourly Advisory

Best for open-ended legal support, strategic advice, negotiations, regulatory questions, evolving product issues, transaction support, and matters where the scope may change as facts develop.

Fixed-Fee Projects

Available for defined scopes where the deliverables, assumptions, and timeline can be clearly identified before work begins. Examples include formation packages, website terms and privacy policies, fundraising preparation, commercial documentation, contractor/IP cleanup, data room organization, and product launch documentation.

Limited-Scope Reviews

Focused reviews designed to help clients identify key issue areas before launch, fundraising, investor diligence, or customer review. These reviews are not substitutes for full legal review, legal opinions, drafting, redlines, negotiation support, or compliance certification.

Selected Fixed-Fee Review

Corporate & IP Gap Check.

For founders who want to think ahead of fundraising, equity issuances, or accepting new shareholders, Moorinvest Counsel offers a focused review of core corporate and IP ownership materials.

Corporate & IP Gap Check

A high-level review for founders who want to check whether core corporate records and IP ownership materials appear present, organized, and facially complete.

This matters because corporate record and IP ownership gaps are much easier to address before fundraising or admitting new shareholders, while founders still have time to confirm the company’s status, organize missing approvals or assignments, and bridge issues before they affect timing or negotiations.

Best for founders preparing for future fundraising, shareholder changes, data room organization, or corporate/IP cleanup.

Request Gap Check
This selected review is a limited-scope service. Full scope, exclusions, and engagement terms are provided before work begins. It is not a full legal review, document review, legal opinion, redline, or approval of any document.

Process

How engagements begin.

Intro Consultation

Schedule a free 20-minute introductory call to discuss the business, the legal issue, timing, and whether Moorinvest Counsel is the right fit.

Conflict & Scope Review

Moorinvest Counsel reviews the matter for conflicts, suitability, timing, scope, and the appropriate fee structure.

Engagement Letter & Payment Link

If the matter is accepted, Moorinvest Counsel sends an engagement letter and payment link before work begins.

Work Begins

Once the engagement is in place, the matter proceeds according to the agreed scope, timeline, and communication process.

Important Scope Note

Submitting a consultation request does not create an attorney-client relationship. Representation begins only after Moorinvest Counsel accepts the matter and the parties execute an engagement agreement.

Fixed-fee projects and limited-scope reviews are available only when the scope, assumptions, and deliverables can be clearly defined. Work outside the agreed scope may require a separate engagement, revised scope, or additional fee arrangement.
